Who Are We?
New frontiers of one kind or another are the focal point for Kainos International Ministries is a Registered Canadian charity (#895505907RR0001). Our main purpose is to help with new things in Christian ministry on which others do not focus.
The main donations for KIM come from Heartland Fellowship where over 25% of the income is given to our adopted mission in Myanmar. Others partner with us on a project to project basis. Generally speaking, we give our attention to a few things every year.
What Are We Doing?
Our current prime project is to help in Myanmar. Myanmar is a very closed country where the ordinary people are very poor. The country formerly known as Burma is ruled by an oppressive military dictatorship. Recently they have made small movements towards democracy.
There is virtually no middle class. The rich in quiet partnership with the military keep the people as poor as they can.
There are 43,000 orphans living on the streets. Drug addition is rampant and the signs of poverty everywhere even though the natural beauty of the country is some of the best in the world.
Who Do We Need to Help?
We concentrate our effort where we can get the best blast for the buck. As such we rely on volunteers to get our message out to others who in turn catch the vision. While we respond to the needs of missions teams to other places, we have a laser-like focus on Myanmar. Myanmar is historically known as The Golden Land. However, this shrouded country has become one of the world’s most forgotten lands.
Our strategy is to help the country from the inside out. The world has shunned economic relations with Myanmar because of human rights abuses.
